Let's monitoring temperature of your home or office with ezTCP.
Used items
- Sensor of Temperature using serial data communicationn
- one of ezTCP/LAN series (CSE-M73 in this test)
- Some wire and connecters
Temperature Sensor module
Used module is made by Onechip Sollution.
This moduel has a temperature sensor and pins for supplying power and data communication.
The data from the module is UART and 3.3V TTL level
To know the details, you can refer to the manuals on the website(http://www.onechips.com)
Serial Device Server : CSE-M73
This is a embeded internet communication module.
CSE-M73 is one of the ezTCP/LAN series which are board types.
It has a RJ45 connecter and pins for supplying power and RS232/422/485 communications.
And there are 6 holes for 3.3V TTL level communication.
Connecting modules
Connect the SIG pin of the sensor module to the RX pin of CSE-M73's TTL area.
Connect the GROUND pin of the sensor module with GROUND pin of M73.
Configuration of CSE-M73
The configuration can be implemented with ezManager.
The IP address, 10.16.0.73 is included in the private range.
If you want to be connected to Internet, pulic IP is needed.
Check the TTL option of Serial Port tap.
Serial parameters should be the same as the sensor's.
ezTCP mode had been set to T2S (TCP server mode)

Connections and receiving data
Press the [Simple Test] button on the ezManager
Test program will be shown on your screen.
Set the program to TCP Client mode. (Wen the M73 is set to TCP server)
Input the IP address Local Port number of CSE-M73.
If you connect the program to M73, you may get the data from the sensor module.
In the above picture, received data is 0x1E.
It means that our office is 30°C (0x1E is 30 in decimal)
